| ־ General Management: ־ To grow the business by 14% from $70M to $80M in FY10 and to $100M+ in FY11. ־ General Management of all Control Techniques drives business in China, with a focus on Sales, Marketing and Customer Service. ־ Manage the financial performance of the business against agreed targets for Operating Profit, Sales, DSO and Inventory Turns. ־ Provide leadership and strategic direction to 120 China employees. ־ Report monthly figures to Control Techniques Board. ־ Apply CT’s Ethical, HR and Financial policies in China. ־ Sales, Marketing, Business development: ־ Continue to develop the business and key growth markets. ־ Develop and implement a plan for ongoing improvement in Marketing, Sales and Operations which translates to bottom line results. ־ Continue to build distributor network across the region. ־ Ensure successful co-ordination and delivery of Product Launches ־ Implement sales productivity improvement plan. ־ Re-align the sales force to business segments (Distribution, OEM Solutions, Industry Projects, Premier Accounts) and engage in marketing programs for these segments. ־ Finance ־ Financial responsibility for performance of China’s business including all aspects from sales and operating profit to trade working capital. ־ Report on financial figures to CT Board, including plans to change any business strategy and the impact of those changes on future numbers. ־ Meet agreed budget commitments in the short term. ־ Overall responsibility for all financial activities including payroll authorisation, signing off expenditure, expense reports etc. ־ Ensure good credit control procedures are in place to improve DSO, taking responsibility for decisions on customers when necessary. ־ Leadership and people management ־ Provide overall leadership to all CT China employees, with clear management of direct reports. ־ To keep in balance the needs of the company with the needs of employees. ־ Hold regular management meetings to promote effective communication and review business progress. ־ Develop and deliver China communication plan on an annual basis. ־ Ensure ethical behaviour by all CT China employees in line with the Company code. ־ Interview job applicants prior to appointing them. ־ Perform employee performance reviews. ־ Make recommendation for annual salary review in line with budget. ־ Advocate employee development. ־ Experience ־ 5+ year General Management experience at a high level. ־ Experience of managing $70M+ business. ־ Proven ability to grow a business in China above economic growth rates. ־ Chinese national - Chinese reading and speaking Mandarin fluently with at least 10 years MNC experience. ־ First tier technical degree, MBA a plus. ־ Ability to plan, execute and think strategically. ־ Good interpersonal skills and agility in the Chinese business environment. ־ Experience of managing 50+ employees and can show the ability to lead, delegate and motivate people. ־ Excellent customer service skills and focus on developing key customer relationships. ־ Good organizational skills in particular being able to marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) to meet objectives and use resources efficiently and effectively. ־ |
