| : - Establish department goals and sourcing strategies for business growth and smooth operation; - Lead the sourcing team, monitoring the whole process of sourcing, from development till delivery. Recommend and implement new product development and cost savings initiative and alternatives. Present on a regular basis to increase sales volume; - Be the driver to locate and identify potential suppliers that meet or exceed the company needs in quality, process, cost and capability. Develop a strong supplier base and where relevant a "partnership" approach for long term relationships with key suppliers. Set up the database of existing & potential suppliers and maintain the database timely; - Ensure product designs/drawings do not violate the intellectual property rights of established manufacturers of equivalent product. Requirements: ־ Bachelor degree or equivalent experience (pref. in engineering, international trading or supply chain management); ־ At least 8-10 years relevant working experience in sourcing or merchandising with international exposure and 5 years or more management experience. Strong capability to develop a new market is preferred and working directly with North American customers is a plus; ־ Solid furniture knowledge and experience including costing, market trends, quality, safety, import/export requirement, etc. New product development background and/or hard goods experience is preferred; ־ Good connection with local suppliers and vendors; ־ High ethics compliance, self-motivated, well-organized, positive, energetic and strategic thinking; ־ Great communication and negotiation skill; ־ Good Mandarin, proficient English in reading and writing; ־ Willing to take challenges, result-driven and work under pressure; ־ Travel within China. |
